Carmen Selina

Spiritual Transformation Coach. Founder. Speaker. Educator. Marine Veteran.

Carmen Selina is the Founder of The Well Fed Self™, a human-development and organizational-learning company focused on the patterns underneath how people live, lead, communicate, decide, relate, and change.

I became less interested in telling people what to do.

I became fascinated with understanding what keeps making us do what we do.

There is an enormous amount of information available about what healthy relationships, emotional regulation, effective leadership, confidence, communication, boundaries, healing, and personal growth should look like.

And people can understand all of it.

Then life happens.

Something touches fear.

Something threatens belonging.

Someone disappoints us.

Responsibility gets heavier.

We become visible.

A relationship changes.

Pressure rises.

And suddenly the behavior we intellectually understood is competing with something much older, more familiar, or more deeply practiced.

That space fascinates me.

About Carmen

My work sits at the intersection of human behavior and potential, identity, spirituality, emotional regulation, pattern recognition, transformational coaching, and conscious development.

I am interested in the internal dynamics that make a person's behavior make sense to them, even when the behavior no longer produces the life they consciously want.

I do not believe transformation comes from handing people another identity to perform.

And I am not interested in teaching people to imitate me.

I want people to become increasingly capable of interpreting themselves.

Because when you can recognize what is happening underneath your reaction, you have more information available before making your next choice.

That changes things.

The Questions

I am usually listening for the question underneath the question.

Someone asks:

“Why can't I leave?”

I become curious about:

What does staying preserve?

Someone asks:

“Why do I keep shutting down?”

I want to understand:

What happens internally immediately before you disappear from the interaction?

Someone says:

“Our managers know how to communicate, but they don't.”

I become interested in:

What competes with that knowledge when pressure enters the room?

Someone says:

“That's just how I am.”

And one of my favorite questions appears:

Is it who you are, or who you have learned to be?

Why The Well Fed Self™

The Well Fed Self™ was created as a home for work that asks people to become nourished beyond information.

There are many ways to become full of knowledge while remaining disconnected from yourself.

You can learn endlessly and still struggle to hear what your own experience is communicating.

You can achieve and still be starving for belonging.

Perform strength while abandoning yourself.

Collect spiritual language while avoiding what hurts.

Understand every pattern without changing your relationship with it.

The Well Fed Self is about developing the internal relationship that allows knowledge to become lived.

Release. Regulate. Return.

Release what no longer needs to organize you.

Regulate enough to remain with yourself while change becomes unfamiliar.

Return to the values, identity, truth, desire, and choices that become available when you are no longer automatically reproducing what you have learned.

Professional Work

Today, the work lives in more than one room.

I work directly with individuals through transformational coaching, Read Yourself™, guided experiences, and educational resources.

I also develop this body of work for professional environments through speaking, leadership development, organizational learning, workshops, facilitated conversations, and custom education.

Because the human being who has patterns at home does not become patternless when they walk into work.

Identity travels.

Fear travels.

Protection travels.

Communication patterns travel.

Self-awareness travels.

Our humanity enters the room before our job title does.

The applications change.

The deeper work remains connected.

What I Am Building

The Well Fed Self is not intended to remain a business dependent on my calendar.

I am building a body of intellectual property that can eventually live through:

→ Transformational education

→ Read Yourself™

→ Leadership learning

→ Professional development

→ Speaking

→ Digital education

→ Guided experiences

→ Books and writing

→ Organizational curriculum

→ Facilitator development

→ Licensing

→ Research

→ Media

→ Retreats

→ and institutional partnerships.

The intention is to create work strong enough to travel beyond the person who created it.

A little more about me

Carmen Selina is a:

☆ Spiritual Transformation Coach

☆ Founder of The Well Fed Self™

☆ Marine Veteran

☆ Transformational Speaker

☆ Educator

☆ Reiki Master

Her educational and professional development includes the study of psychology, human consciousness and potential, transformational leadership and coaching, and continued coach development grounded in professional coaching competencies.

Her lived, academic, spiritual, and professional experiences inform a multidisciplinary approach to understanding human development.

The purpose is not for you to become better at explaining yourself.

The purpose is for you to become easier to recognize while you are living.

Because awareness that only exists after the moment has passed can teach you.

But awareness that becomes available inside the moment can change what happens next.

That is the work I am interested in.
